Company History Timeline

Bridge Masters

1992

The original Bridge Walker machine was invented by Ralph Langston of Astoria, Oregon. Born out of necessity, the machine was designed and manufactured by Ralph as the only under bridge access machine capable of operating within the confines of a sidewalk without impeding traffic. This significantly opened up opportunities for bridge projects and maintenance to be completed in less time without causing traffic issues.

2002

Allan Herauf spots the value and potential of the Bridge Walker machines and purchases three of them from Ralph Langston, founding the Bridge Masters Inc. company, originally based in Boring, Oregon.

2002 - 2004

Allan Herauf devotes himself to learning the machines, business, and industry inside and out. He wears all the hats in the company including serving as on-site project manager for every job and gains critical knowledge, respect, and attention within industry.

2005

Bridge Masters Inc. successfully completes two extensive projects on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and a large-scale electrical utility project in San Diego, securing their reputation as a trusted partner in under bridge access solutions. Word of the company’s expertise, performance, and capable machinery spreads quickly .

2008

Allan’s son, Jeremy Herauf joins Bridge Masters Inc. bringing with him an extensive background in logistics, operation, and production. Company headquarters moves to Central Oregon. Jeremy starts as an on-site project manager for all construction projects, but sees ample opportunity to expand the company’s capabilities and product offerings.

2015

Jeremy and Crystal Herauf purchase Bridge Masters, Inc. Allan Herauf retires. Jeremy focuses on expanding the company to meet increasing opportunities and product demand.

2016

Jeremy successfully manufactures a Bridge Walker unit in-house which is quickly rented for a year-long project on the famous Verrazano Narrows bridge in New York and several other subsequent projects. This feat was the start of the Bridge Masters Inc. manufacturing division.

2017

Bridge Masters Inc. was issued a US patent for the BridgeWalker Type II machine with its unique capabilities and innovative design.

2018

Official launch of the Bridge Masters Inc. manufacturing division to drive product innovation and optimization.

2019

Bridge Masters Inc. official launch of rental fleet division to meet increasing market demand for access to highly capable, specialized equipment across North America.

2020

Beginning of process of designing and constructing new company headquarters in Redmond, Oregon.

2021

Opening of Tennessee branch of rental fleet division.

2022

Start of US patent process for newest machine, the BridgeWalker Type I Track Unit.

2023

Bridge Masters Inc. officially opens its cutting-edge 26000 sq ft headquarters, marking a pivotal moment for the company as it houses its construction, rental, and manufacturing divisions under one roof. This strategic move also amplifies the customer experience. The new headquarters serves as a hub for comprehensive customer support, efficient machine servicing, and hands-on product training facilitated by an on-site bridge. Certification classes are also offered, enhancing skill development within the industry.
