1992
The Bridge Walker Invention

The original Bridge Walker machine was invented by Ralph Langston of Astoria, Oregon. Designed to operate in the tight confines of sidewalks without disrupting traffic, it was the only under-bridge access machine capable of this, significantly improving the efficiency of bridge maintenance and reducing traffic-related delays.

2002
Bridge Masters, Inc. is founded

Recognizing the value in Ralph Langston’s creation, Allan Herauf purchases three Bridge Walker machines and establishes Bridge Masters, Inc., based in Boring, Oregon

2002-2004
Learning and Growing

Allan Herauf dedicated himself to mastering the machines and the business. He served as the project manager for every job, gaining industry respect and valuable experience in the process.

2005
Major Projects and Industry Recognition

Bridge Masters successfully completed major projects on the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and a large-scale electrical utility project in San Diego. These projects helped establish the company’s reputation as a trusted partner for complex bridge maintenance and utility installation projects.

2008
Expansion and Leadership Transition

Allan’s son, Jeremy Herauf, joined Bridge Masters, Inc., bringing his expertise in logistics, operations, and production. The company moved its headquarters to Central Oregon, and Jeremy started managing construction projects, expanding the company’s capabilities and services.

2015
Jeremy and Crystal Take the Helm

Jeremy and Crystal Herauf took ownership of Bridge Masters, Inc., continuing the legacy of growth and innovation. Jeremy focused on expanding the company to meet increasing demand for equipment and services, while Crystal supported operational growth.

2016
In-House Manufacturing Success

Bridge Masters, Inc. achieved a significant milestone when Jeremy successfully manufactured the first Bridge Walker unit in-house. The unit was quickly rented for a year-long project on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York, marking the beginning of the company’s in-house manufacturing division.

2017
US Patent for BridgeWalker Type II

Bridge Masters, Inc. was awarded a US patent for the BridgeWalker Type II, an advanced under-bridge access machine with unique capabilities and design features. This innovation set the company apart in the industry.

2018
Manufacturing Division Launch

The official launch of Bridge Masters, Inc.’s Manufacturing Division allowed the company to focus on driving product innovation and optimization, further strengthening its position as a leader in under-bridge access solutions.

2019
Launch of Rental Fleet Division

To meet growing market demand, Bridge Masters launched its rental fleet division, providing access to highly capable, specialized equipment for bridge maintenance and utility projects across North America.

2020
New Headquarters Development

The company began designing and constructing its new state-of-the-art headquarters in Redmond, Oregon, a strategic move to support growth and customer needs.

Tennessee Branch Opens

BridgeWalker Type I Track Unit Patent Process

The BridgeWalker Type I Track Unit was introduced, and the company started the patent process for this next-generation under-bridge access machine, further enhancing its product offerings.

2023
New Headquarters Opened

Bridge Masters, Inc. officially opened its 26,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Redmond, Oregon. This facility houses the company’s construction, rental, and manufacturing divisions under one roof, serving as a hub for comprehensive customer support, machine servicing, product training, and certification classes.
